Hi! I am so glad you are here and hope you find what you need. A little bit about me - I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified - Dance/Movement Therapist.
I found my way to counseling through my passion for helping others. I was a Dance Major and Psychology Minor in college, and when trying to figure out what my future would hold, I found Dance/Movement Therapy! The perfect combination of psychology and movement.
My approach to therapy is to be someone you can trust and feel supported. I use a person-centered approach, bringing creativity into my sessions while focusing on the mind-body connection.
When I am not working, I love to go for hikes, workout, dance, cook and spend time by the water. I am a daughter, sister, friend, wife, dog mom, and dance teacher. I wear a lot of hats, but that is because all of those things are extremely important to me!
*A New Leaf Counseling, LLC is a LGBTQ+ affirming practice.
I have experience working with a variety of ages and populations. Most recently, I was an outpatient therapist in the school setting for middle schoolers in South Boston. Prior to that experience, I worked at a Residential Facility, Partial Hospitalization Program, and Adult Day Program.
Through all of these experiences, I learned that I truly love working with young adults and adults.
